Toy Dog Supermatch

The Cotons have been invited to participate in the Toy Dog Supermatch on 18th November 2006 (venue to be arranged).

Qualifiers: Richmond - City of Birmingham
CC, RCC or 3 firsts in qulaifying classes

Breeds participating - Affenpinschers, King Charles Spaniel, Pugs, Coton de Tulear, English Toy Terriers, Miniature Pinschers, Griffons.

Grooming Workshop (view day)

Bring your Coton and learn how to groom. Can you manage to groom out those tangles!!! Can you cut your dogs nails, do you know about caring for ears and trimming the feet and do you know the correct way to bath your dog. Do you find show preparation and presentation difficult?

Hazel Gill will be holding a Grooming Workshop at her Grooming Salon 'Fido Sassoon' in Boston on Saturday November 26th 2005.

Pets and showdogs welcome. Places limited so book soon.

Special General Meeting held on 27th February 2005

The above meeting was called by the members to expel Mr Richard Hallam as Chairman and as a member of the Club. This was carried unanimously.

Mr Hallam decided to appeal to the Kennel Club against this decision. On 20th July 2005 the Kennel Club informed us that his appeal had been dismissed.

Futher details will be circulated to members in our next newsletter.

At the last committee meeting on 17th July 2005 it was decided to appoint
Dr. Mhairi Brown as the Club's Health Scheme Co-ordinator.

To benefit the Coton de Tulear breed any we would be grateful for any copies of certificates for any health testing undertaken. These will be published on the Club's website and newsletters.

SEMINAR - Sunday 25th September 2005

A "Hands On" day at Leamington Hastings Village Hall to give an opportunity to get to know this breed which comes off the Import Register on 1st January 2006. Club members, potential judges along with owners and show secretaries are particularly invited. Contact Mary Farnes on01428 712785 for information.

Judges wishing to be included on the clubs initial judging list should send their CV and judging experience to Mary Farnes by 1st September 2005. An assessment session for judges will be held in the morning of 25th September with Eli de Luca, FCI Judge from Italy, assisting with the assessment.
